New features for 2017 include:
- New Automatic Software Updater: Checks and updates popular applications to patch vulnerabilities, fix bugs and even add new functionality
- Improved Sleep Mode: New Program Deactivator puts resource-draining background and startup programs to sleep using a patented technique – and wakes them up when you need them. Makes your PC feel new again, no matter how many programs you’ve got installed
- Improved Disk Cleaner and Browser Cleaner: Removes leftover files and traces from more than 220 programs, Windows features and now even the latest browser releases, such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
- The sharp-eyed amongst you may have noticed the lack of year in the names of AVG’s 2017 launches. Instead of making you wait for a single big-bang release each year, AVG now push updates to you automatically – which is why they’ve dropped the year from their product names. And new features? You’ll automatically get those whenever available, too. Nice.
