Using AVG AntiVirus Free

The installation package includes many components that are automatically installed by default. However, custom support allows users to select the components they would like to install. These components include identity, Web browsing and e-mail protection.
Since AVG AntiVirus Free is ad-supported, it offers third-party tools and makes changes to Web browsers. However, we paid closer attention during installation and avoided clicking 'Next' unnecessarily, which was enough to skip the things we did not want.
The new AVG AntiVirus Free has adopted the appearance of Windows 8, featuring flat buttons on a neatly organized user interface.
The program has several enhanced features, which are useful for protecting personal data both locally and online. The latest release includes an innovative cloud-based detection method that gives users the most up-to-date protection based on the latest virus definitions and other algorithms. With Outbreak Detection feature, the program enables users to take fast steps to nip emerging threats in the bud.
The program let us scan custom folders and files, removable drives or a whole computer. We could also set it to scan for rootkits alone. Indeed, the free antivirus software has customization options that enable advanced users to configure its complete scanning behavior. Some of the things we could configure included scan speed, exceptions, automatic virus removal, tracking cookies, heuristics, archives, PUP and spyware reports, file extensions and automatic PC shutdown.
In addition to verifying both outgoing and incoming e-mails, we also used the program to filter spam. It is compatible with POP3, IMAP and SMTP. The program also scans suspicious activities and applications to prevent identity theft.
Conclusion
AVG AntiVirus Free is a powerful program for giving PCs an all-rounded protection. Its default configurations allow novice users to have comprehensive protection, and advanced users can adjust it to suit their preferences.

press release issued late yesterday, Sharp said that the Aquos S2 will arrive with an 84.95% screen-to-body ratio, beating the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus

press release issued late yesterday, Sharp said that the Aquos S2 will arrive with an 84.95% screen-to-body ratio, beating the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus
was one of the first manufacturers to begin producing bezel-less phones, and ever since it’s been trying to take it one step further. Now, the company has announced what it claims will be the “largest full-screen smartphone” on the market, the Sharp Aquos S2.
In a press release issued late yesterday, Sharp said that the Aquos S2 will arrive with an 84.95% screen-to-body ratio, beating the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus (83.6% and 84% respectively) and the Xiaomi Mi Mix (83.6%) — some of the more popular bezel-less devices available right now. The company also said that the Aquos S2 would feature a 5.5-inch display that feels like a 5-inch handset when held. Thus, the Sharp quote above seemingly refers to largest screen-to-body ratio rather than display size — the S8 Plus panel comes in at 6.2-inches.
Just because the Aquos S2 will feature a lot of screen, though, doesn’t mean there won’t be a selfie camera. Sharp says it has used its own Free Form Display (FDD) technology to cut precise holes into the display panel itself, so it can fit the selfie camera and the earpiece inside.Image result for Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus
We’re curious to see how exactly that will work, but Sharp says that the Aquos S2 will have “slim bezels on three sides,” so we know it will either come with a “forehead” or “chin” bezel (it won’t look like the previously rumored Sharp devices seen above, sadly). Sharp also said that its ultimate goal is to produce a “100% bezel-less screen” but noted that there are still a few things standing in the way of achieving that, such as the placement of the front facing camera and fingerprint scanner.
As for the phone’s specs, previous rumors suggest it would come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 or 660 and 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM, depending on the model. There’s also said to be a dual 12 MP camera on the back and an 8 MP selfie snapper, but take these specs with a pinch of salt until the device is revealed next week.

  • Straightforward encoder setup.

During tests Simple x264/x265 Launcher was able to carry out a tasks relatively quickly and gave good output results. That being said, it did struggle somewhat with larger files and required more time to complete the encoding process.
Overall, Simple x264/x265 Launcher is a reliable and powerful video encoder that has an intuitive GUI for encoding multimedia files. The layout is easy on the eyes, which makes it suitable for users of all levels of expertise, from novice to expert. That being said, some of the config settings could be hard to get to grips with for novice users and on the downside the app doesn’t leave a small footprint and it is going to hammer your system resources unless you are running a powerhouse PC.
